Chinese carmaker Great Wall Motors' India website is now live. GWM established in 1984, is China's largest producer of sport-utility vehicles (SUVs) and pick-up trucks. It sells passenger cars and trucks under the "Great Wall" brand and SUVs under the "Haval" and "WEY" brands.

GWM showcased its global products at the 2020 Auto Expo & at the biennial automotive show, showcased other models, such as - H9, F7, F7x, F5, and the GWM EV: iQ and the R1. Currently, the website has the images for the Haval F7 and it is likely to be the first model to be launched in India.

The company had also acquired a manufacturing unit near Pune, which was operated by General Motors. That deal was worth around Rs 950 crore.

Haval F7, shown on the website is quite a popular offering from the GWM stables in international markets.
The Haval F7 is offered (The Haval brand is owned by GWM) with a choice between two petrol engine options: a 1.5-litre engine and a 2.0-litre motor. 1.5Litre engine churns out a maximum power output of 148 bhp along with a peak torque of 280 Nm. Whereas the 2.0-litre engine generates 188 bhp and 340 Nm of maximum torque. Both engines are in combination with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Haval F7's India launch date is yet to be revealed. More details on the company’s plans for India will be known in the days to come.
