Honda QC3 Launched at ₹1.35 Lakh – 145km Range, 3kWh Battery, Bookings Open
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has officially launched the Honda QC3 electric scooter at ₹1.35 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi.
The new QC3 becomes Honda’s third electric scooter in India after the QC1 and Activa e:, but takes a different approach by combining a fixed 3kWh battery, 145km IDC-certified range, connected features and a comparatively large 32-litre under-seat storage compartment.
Bookings are now open for ₹5,000, while the initial retail rollout will be limited to Delhi, Agra, Cuttack, Surat and Kollam through select Honda RedWing dealerships. Honda plans to expand availability to more cities in phases.

The Honda QC3 has been priced at: ₹1.35 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi
The final launch price is higher than the ₹1.15 lakh-₹1.30 lakh range that had been widely expected before launch, but Honda is positioning the QC3 as a more feature-rich and practical electric scooter than the QC1.
Bookings can be made for ₹5,000 through Honda’s website or at participating RedWing dealerships in the first five launch cities. Honda has not yet announced when customer deliveries will begin.

Honda has still not disclosed the QC3’s motor output or top speed. Autocar, however, confirms that the scooter uses a hub-mounted motor and a front disc brake.
145km Range Makes QC3 Honda’s Longest-Range EV Scooter
The biggest talking point is the QC3’s 145km IDC-certified range.
Honda’s existing electric scooter portfolio currently includes:
QC1: 1.5kWh battery, 80km claimed IDC range
Activa e:: dual swappable 1.5kWh batteries, 3kWh combined capacity and 102km IDC range
QC3: 3kWh fixed battery and 145km IDC range
That makes the QC3 Honda’s longest-range electric scooter in India by a substantial margin.
Compared with the QC1, the QC3 effectively doubles battery capacity while increasing claimed range by around 81%.
Honda QC3 Charging Time
Honda says the battery can be charged from:
0-80% in 2 hours 40 minutes
and
0-100% in approximately 4 hours.
This is particularly notable because the QC3’s battery is twice the capacity of the QC1 pack while still achieving a considerably quicker full-charge time.
For daily urban use, the combination of 145km claimed range and four-hour charging potentially reduces the need for frequent charging.
Honda QC3 Gets 32-Litre Under-Seat Storage
Practicality is another area where the QC3 improves significantly over Honda’s existing electric scooters.
The QC3 offers 32 litres of under-seat storage, compared with around 26 litres on the QC1. The Activa e: sacrifices most conventional boot space because of its swappable batteries.
This makes the QC3 better suited to buyers prioritising everyday utility, including office commutes, shopping trips and family usage.
5-Inch TFT Display and Honda RoadSync
The QC3 is equipped with a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster featuring:
Honda RoadSync connectivity, connected vehicle functions and turn-by-turn navigation.
This gives the QC3 a substantial technology advantage over the more basic QC1.
Honda QC3 Colour Options
Honda will offer the QC3 in four colours:
Matt Photon Gray Metallic, Pearl Precious White, Pearl Shallow Blue and Pearl Siren Blue.
The Pearl Precious White shade is the colour seen in most of Honda’s launch imagery.

The QC3 commands a considerable premium over the QC1, but adds twice the battery capacity, 65km more claimed range, faster charging and substantially more equipment.
Initial Launch Limited to Five Cities
At launch, Honda will sell the QC3 in: Delhi, Agra, Cuttack, Surat and Kollam.
Sales will take place through selected Honda RedWing dealerships before a broader phased rollout across India.
The limited initial availability means the QC3 will not immediately be accessible nationwide.
Honda has not confirmed a firm timeline for the national rollout.
Where Does the QC3 Sit in Honda’s EV Strategy?
Honda now has three distinctly positioned electric scooters.

This makes the QC3 arguably the most conventional EV ownership proposition in Honda’s range.

Auto Punditz Take
The QC3 is arguably Honda’s most complete electric scooter offering in India so far.
The ₹1.35 lakh price places it firmly in mainstream family-EV territory rather than the budget end of the market. However, Honda is backing that positioning with a 3kWh battery, 145km IDC range, 32-litre storage, faster charging and connected TFT instrumentation.
The biggest unanswered question remains performance.
Honda has not yet disclosed the motor output or top speed, and those figures will be important when comparing the QC3 with the iQube, Chetak, VIDA and Ather alternatives.
The limited five-city rollout is another factor to watch.
Nevertheless, the QC3 represents a much stronger proposition than Honda’s first-generation EV offerings. If Honda expands availability quickly and the real-world range remains reasonably close to its claimed figure, the QC3 could become an important volume product in the brand’s electric two-wheeler portfolio.
