Hyundai’s Creta registered its all time highest sales in September 2020! With sales of 12,325 units; it was not Hyundai’s Best Selling car but India’s best selling SUV too for Sep’20.
Owing to Creta & Seltos success; the Mid SUV segment is on fire. The segment recorded a growth of 31% and ~33k Mid SUVs were sold in September 2020.
Hyundai’s Creta has taken the clear lead in the segment and it crossed 12k sales for the first time since its launch! The New Creta has been accepted well in the market and has also become the best seller in Hyundai’s portfolio.
Creta’s success isn’t showing any signs of effect on Kia’s Seltos! Seltos is still selling in good numbers and managed to >9k figures yet again in Sep’20. Both the siblings (Creta+Seltos) contributed to over 65% of the segment’s volumes!
Hector registered a degrowth for the first time since launch. Coincidentally, Harrier volumes have shot up significantly. Do note that while Hector sales degrew by -8% YoY; Harrier numbers have shot up 87% YoY!
Duster sales have been disappointing. Even after the launch of well priced Duster Turbo variant; falling sales is not a good sign for Renault.
