Hyundai Motor India has introduced new Lounge Edition variants for the Creta, Creta Electric and Alcazar. The special editions focus on rear-seat entertainment, cabin comfort and distinctive exterior styling.

The biggest development is the introduction of a five-seat Alcazar Lounge Edition. Unlike the regular Alcazar, which is offered with six- and seven-seat layouts, the Lounge Edition removes the third row to create additional luggage space and a more spacious rear-seat experience.

Prices for the new Lounge range start at ₹19.22 lakh for the Creta, ₹21.81 lakh for the Alcazar and ₹24.34 lakh for the Creta Electric. All prices are ex-showroom.

11.6-Inch Rear Entertainment Screen

The central feature across all three Lounge Edition models is an 11.6-inch rear-seat entertainment screen.

The system supports:

  • OTT and video streaming

  • Interactive gaming

  • Smartphone mirroring

  • Applications through a certified app store

Audio is delivered through the existing Bose eight-speaker premium sound system, which includes a front-centre speaker and subwoofer.

The feature package is clearly aimed at chauffeur-driven customers, families travelling with children and buyers who frequently undertake long-distance journeys.

Lounge-Specific Interior Treatment

Hyundai has made several cosmetic changes to distinguish the Lounge Edition cabins from the standard models.

These include silver-coloured interior inserts, Moonwhite ambient lighting, a new seat upholstery pattern and branded rear headrest cushions.

A new Golden Bronze exterior colour has also been introduced. This is combined with multiple blacked-out exterior components for a more distinctive appearance.

Creta Lounge Edition

The Creta Lounge Edition is based on the King trim and is available with two engine and automatic-transmission combinations:

  • 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol with IVT

  • 1.5-litre diesel with automatic transmission

Exterior changes include black-finished front and rear skid plates, side-sill garnish, rear spoiler, roof rails, C-pillar garnish and outside rear-view mirrors. The SUV also receives 18-inch matte-black alloy wheels.

Prices range between ₹19.22 lakh and ₹20.46 lakh.

Five-Seater Hyundai Alcazar Lounge Edition

The Alcazar Lounge is the most significant addition to the lineup because it introduces a new five-seat configuration.

Removing the third row should provide more usable luggage capacity while allowing Hyundai to position the Alcazar Lounge as a rear-seat-focused alternative to the regular Creta.

The model is based on the Signature trim and is offered exclusively with the 1.5-litre diesel engine and automatic transmission.

It also receives a voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, 18-inch black alloy wheels and black-finished skid plates, side-sill garnish, spoiler, roof rails and ORVMs.

The Alcazar Lounge is priced at ₹21.81 lakh, while the dual-tone version costs ₹21.96 lakh.

Creta Electric Lounge Edition

The Creta Electric Lounge Edition is based on the top-spec Excellence Long Range variant.

Along with the shared 11.6-inch entertainment screen and Lounge-specific cabin treatment, the electric SUV receives a dashcam and wireless charging facility for rear-seat passengers.

Exterior enhancements include black skid plates, roof rails, side-sill garnish, rear spoiler, C-pillar garnish and ORVMs. It rides on 17-inch black aero alloy wheels.

Prices range from ₹24.34 lakh to ₹25.22 lakh, depending on the paint option and inclusion of a home charger.

No Mechanical Changes

The Lounge Editions are primarily equipment and cosmetic packages. Hyundai has not announced any major mechanical changes to the three SUVs.

The Creta continues with its existing petrol and diesel engines, the five-seat Alcazar Lounge uses the diesel-automatic combination, and the Creta Electric Lounge retains the long-range electric powertrain offered with the Excellence LR trim.

Auto Punditz Take

The rear entertainment screen gives the Lounge Edition a clear identity, but the five-seat Alcazar is the more strategically interesting addition.

With the third row removed, the Alcazar Lounge could appeal to buyers who want more luggage room and a rear-seat-oriented cabin without moving to a significantly larger SUV. However, at ₹21.81 lakh, it overlaps with premium variants of several midsize SUVs

and sits close to some larger three-row models.

The Creta Lounge and Creta Electric Lounge are more conventional special editions, offering additional comfort and entertainment equipment over their respective donor variants.

The value proposition will ultimately depend on how much importance buyers place on the rear entertainment system and exclusive interior treatment.

All prices are ex-showroom.
