Kawasaki India registered 366 units in May 2026, reporting a 17% year-on-year decline compared to 442 units in May 2025. However, the brand witnessed a strong 86% month-on-month growth over 197 units sold in April 2026, largely supported by the sharp rise in KLX230 dispatches.
The May 2026 performance highlights Kawasaki’s niche positioning in India’s premium and performance motorcycle market, where volumes are relatively small but model-level movement can significantly impact overall growth trends.

Conclusion
Kawasaki India’s May 2026 sales showed two contrasting trends. While the brand declined 17% year-on-year, it achieved a strong 86% month-on-month recovery. The performance was primarily led by the KLX230, followed by the Z900, ZX-6R, Versys 1100 and Versys 650.
The data also reflects Kawasaki’s highly niche positioning in India, where dispatches are concentrated in select performance, adventure and enthusiast-focused motorcycles. Going forward, consistent availability across accessible models like Ninja 300, W175 and Ninja 500 will be key to supporting broader volume stability.
