Kia India reported dispatches of 15,015-unit sales in India in June 2021 registering over 106 percent YoY growth and registered 36 percent MoM growth. Seltos emerged as the bestseller for the company with sales of 8,549 units, followed by Sonet with sales of 5,963 units. Kia’s MPV, Carnival registered 503 unit volumes last month and has been the highest monthly sales for the model in FY22!
Speaking on the occasion, Tae-Jin Park, Chief Sales, and Business Strategy Officer, Kia India, said, “The last few weeks have shown signs of improved customer sentiment, and we continue to be optimistic about the future. The brand stays focused on providing the highest level of personalized customer experience and plans to strengthen the digital ecosystem with industry-first initiatives like Digi-connect. We, however, remain cognizant of the ongoing situation and are reviewing our operations week-on-week, evaluating measures to meet the demand for our vehicles.”
Kia India featured among the top-five car manufacturers in the country for June 2021. Between January to June 2021, Kia India sold close to 1 Lakh units in the domestic market.
Kia’s first product in the Indian market – Seltos, continued its dominance in the overall sales by contributing over 50 percent of Kia India's sales in June 2021. Even in 2021, the model has sold near 50k units and is going strong.
The Sub-4m Compact SUV Sonet registered dispatches of 5,963 units and was the second bestseller in the OEM's portfolio.
Kia Carnival is now available with discounts up to Rs.3.75 Lakhs and has worked well for the model. Carnival registered its highest monthly sales in FY22 in June 2021 and has crossed the 500k mark only for the third time in its lifetime.
