Mahindra & Mahindra dispatched 15,380 units to its dealers in Feb'21 and recorded a YoY growth of 43%.
Mahindra Thar has proved to be one of the most popular cars on the Indian roads today and commands a waiting period of up to 41 weeks (source) in certain cities! The model registered its second all-time highest monthly sales dispatches and 2,842 units were shipped in February 2021. Such volumes are unheard of for any Lifestyle Offroader and it almost matched XUV300 volumes in Feb'21.
Bolero remains Mahindra’s best-selling car and sold well on Feb’21 basis on strong rural demand. It grew a healthy 19% YoY.
With dispatches of 3,532units; Scorpio was Mahindra’s second best selling model and it recorded 135% YoY growth! It dethroned XUV300 from the second spot (source).
While XUV300 volumes are grown YoY; it is still below expectations. The optimized prices and 5-star rating from GNCAP have helped the Compact SUV gain volumes in the past few months - but it could do much better.
XUV500, Marazzo, and KUV100 sales suffered heavily and couldn’t contribute much to Mahindra’s sales. The Indian MNC is planning to bring a facelift of Scorpio & XUV500 to revive the models' volumes.
