Maruti Suzuki all set to increase the price of its cars from April 2021

India's largest passenger carmaker Maruti Suzuki has confirmed an increase in the prices of its cars, effective from April 2021.

Maruti Suzuki, in its regulatory filing mentioned “Over the past year the cost of company's vehicles has been impacted adversely due to increase in various input costs. Hence, it has become imperative for the company to pass on some impact of the above additional cost to customers through a price increase in April 2021”.

The company also added that the prices will vary for different models. However, it hasn't shared the exact details of the price rise.

Maruti Suzuki had increased the prices for its cars just recently in January 2021. The price increase varied across models and was up to ₹34,000.

The incessant price rise comes at a time when the market has stabilized after a year of troubled business due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
