The Two-wheeler taxi operator Rapido has announced that it will launch a rental service for multi-point trips in six cities – Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Jaipur & Delhi NCR.
"Introducing the concept of 2W bike taxi rental services, the company aims to cater to those customers who have to complete multiple tasks at different locations and want to avoid the hassle of multiple bookings and waiting for the ride to arrive," Rapido co-founder Mr. Aravind Sanka said, "In the last few months, we have noticed a rising need for a multi-stop, affordable and easily accessible ride among customers, especially our high usage customers."
On one end we are getting news of Bounce looking at long-term rationalization of manpower and getting its act together, here we have news of expansion.
With the Cab operators yet to find their mojo, the expansion news in the bike taxi segment comes as a welcome change to the shared transport industry. It remains interesting to see, the customer’s adoption of the new offering.
