Royal Enfield has finally expanded the legendary Bullet family with the launch of the new Bullet 650 in India. Priced at ₹3.64 lakh ex-showroom, the motorcycle brings the timeless Bullet identity together with Royal Enfield’s proven 650cc parallel-twin engine platform.
The Bullet has always been one of Royal Enfield’s most iconic nameplates, known for its old-school charm, upright riding stance and strong emotional connect with Indian buyers. With the new Bullet 650, Royal Enfield has taken that familiar formula and added more power, stronger road presence and modern hardware, making it the most powerful Bullet ever sold in India.

Bullet Design, Bigger 650cc Personality
The Bullet 650 stays true to the traditional Bullet design language . It gets a classic round headlamp setup, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, hand-painted pinstripes, 3D tank badging, twin pilot lamps and a long bench-style seat.
The overall stance is simple, muscular and unmistakably Royal Enfield. Compared to the Bullet 350, the 650 looks more substantial due to its larger engine, wider tyres, twin exhaust setup and heavier road presence.
Engine & Performance
Powering the Royal Enfield Bullet 650 is the familiar 647.95cc, air/oil-cooled, parallel-twin engine that also does duty on Royal Enfield’s other 650cc motorcycles. The engine produces around 47 PS of power and 52.3 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.
This engine is already known for its smooth power delivery, relaxed highway cruising nature and strong mid-range performance. In the Bullet 650, it should offer a more effortless riding experience compared to the Bullet 350, especially for touring and long-distance usage. Royal Enfield has also equipped the motorcycle with a slipper clutch, which should make gearshifts smoother and reduce rear-wheel hop during aggressive downshifts.
Features & Equipment
While the Bullet 650 keeps its retro design intact, it does get several modern touches. The motorcycle comes with LED lighting, a semi-digital instrument cluster, USB Type-C charging port, hazard light switch and dual-channel ABS. The instrument cluster retains a classic analogue-style layout but offers useful information such as fuel level, gear position, trip details and service reminders. This gives the motorcycle a nice mix of old-school appeal and day-to-day practicality.
Hardware & Cycle Parts
The Bullet 650 is built around a steel tubular frame and uses telescopic front forks along with twin rear shock absorbers. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends, supported by dual-channel ABS.
The motorcycle rides on a 19-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel, which helps maintain the tall, traditional Bullet stance. It has a kerb weight of around 243 kg, making it one of the heavier motorcycles in Royal Enfield’s 650cc range. The fuel tank capacity stands at 14.8 litres, while the seat height is around 800 mm, which should make it accessible for a wide range of riders.
Colour Options
Royal Enfield is offering the Bullet 650 in two colour options:

The Bullet 650 could become an important model for Royal Enfield because it combines two of the brand’s strongest assets — the Bullet name and the 650cc twin-cylinder engine. At ₹3.64 lakh ex-showroom, the Bullet 650 is not positioned as an entry-level 650cc motorcycle. The motorcycle may appeal strongly to existing Bullet 350 owners looking to upgrade, as well as riders who want a retro motorcycle with better touring capability. With its traditional design, proven twin-cylinder engine and strong brand pull, the Bullet 650 has the potential to become one of the most emotionally driven launches in Royal Enfield’s recent lineup.
