Skoda Octavia RS Second Batch Launched at ₹56.69 Lakh; Only 50 Units Allocated for India

The Skoda Octavia RS has returned to India with a second allocation of 50 units, priced at ₹56.69 lakh, ex-showroom. The latest batch carries a substantial premium over the original launch price, giving enthusiasts another opportunity to purchase the performance sedan at a higher entry point.

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the week following the September 4 announcement.

Octavia RS Price Rises by ₹6.70 Lakh

The first batch was priced at ₹49.99 lakh and limited to 100 cars. Those units sold out ahead of the model’s India launch last year. The latest allocation is half that size, while the asking price has increased by approximately 13.4%.

The model is imported as a completely built unit. Its combination of turbocharged performance and a practical body style remains central to its positioning in India’s niche enthusiast-car market.

Three Colours and an Extensive Equipment List

The second batch is offered in Mamba Green, Velvet Red and Magic Black. Exterior highlights include Matrix LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels and black styling details.

Inside, the RS gets sports seats, a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument display and three-zone climate control. Safety equipment includes 10 airbags, driver-assistance systems and a 360-degree camera. Its liftback boot offers 600 litres of luggage capacity.

Auto Punditz Take

The Octavia RS continues to offer an appealing mix of everyday usability and strong performance. However, a ₹6.70 lakh increase changes its value equation considerably.

The original batch’s sell-out demonstrated demand at the earlier price. The second allocation will test buyers’ willingness to pay substantially more for the same performance proposition.

With just 50 units available, this remains a small enthusiast-led opportunity. A quick sell-out would underline the strength of the RS badge, but it would not, by itself, establish a wider revival in India’s premium sedan market.
