Suzuki Sales August 2026: Access Leads as Volumes Rise 13% YoY to 1,03,118 Units
Suzuki recorded sales of 1,03,118 units in August 2026, according to the supplied model-wise data. Volumes increased 13% year-on-year from 91,629 units in August 2025, but declined 16% month-on-month from 1,23,216 units in July 2026.
The Access remained Suzuki’s largest contributor, accounting for over two-thirds of total volumes. Burgman retained second place, while the V-Strom SX crossed 1,000 units and delivered the strongest percentage growth over August last year, albeit from a small base.

Suzuki Access registered 69,558 units, up from 60,807 units a year earlier. The increase of 8,751 units accounted for approximately 76% of Suzuki’s net year-on-year volume gain of 11,489 units.
Burgman sales at 25,345 units, a 5% increase over 24,191 units in August 2025. Compared with July’s 30,607 units, volumes declined 17%.
Avenis recorded 5,696 units, down 6% year-on-year and 19% month-on-month.
V-Strom SX recorded 1,012 units, compared with just 101 units in August 2025, translating into 902% growth. It also increased 12% over July’s 904 units.
Gixxer sales rose 91% year-on-year to 745 units, but fell 39% from July’s 1,225 units. The Gixxer 250 recorded 59 units, up from 16 units a year earlier and slightly below July’s 61 units.
e-Access recorded 668 units in August, down 19% from 825 units in July. Its contribution to Suzuki’s total volumes remained below 1%.
Hayabusa sales reached 34 units, compared with 19 units in July, a 79% monthly increase. Volumes were nevertheless 35% below the 52 units recorded in August 2025.
DL800DE recorded no units, against five units a year earlier and nine units in July.
GSX-8R recorded one unit, with zero volumes in both comparison periods.
Auto Punditz Take
Suzuki’s August performance combined healthy annual growth with a broad monthly slowdown. The Access drove most of the year-on-year increase, while the Access, Burgman and Avenis together accounted for 19,574 units of the company’s 20,098-unit decline from July.
The V-Strom SX provided a positive result outside the scooter portfolio, growing on both comparison periods. Even so, Suzuki’s overall performance remained closely tied to its petrol scooters, which contributed nearly 98% of the reported total. The figures establish the volume movement; they do not, by themselves, identify changes in retail demand, inventory or supply as its cause.
