Suzuki Two-Wheeler Dispatches Rise 23% YoY in June 2026; Access and Burgman Lead Growth

Suzuki Motorcycle India recorded total dispatches of 91,264 units in June 2026, registering a strong 23% year-on-year growth over the 73,934 units dispatched in June 2025. However, compared with May 2026, when the company dispatched 1,10,028 units, volumes declined by 17% month-on-month.

The company’s June performance was largely supported by its scooter portfolio, particularly the Suzuki Access and Burgman. Motorcycle volumes remained relatively modest, although the V-Strom SX posted strong annual growth.

• The Suzuki Access continued to dominate the company’s domestic dispatch mix, with 63,121 units dispatched during June 2026. Volumes increased by 22% YoY from 51,555 units in June 2025. Access dispatches declined by 17% MoM from 75,729 units in May 2026. The model alone contributed approximately 69% of Suzuki’s total June 2026 dispatches.

• Burgman dispatches of 22,454 units. The maxi-style scooter registered a healthy 43% YoY growth over the 15,733 units recorded in June 2025. However, Burgman volumes declined by 13% from 25,835 units in May 2026.

• Suzuki dispatched 611 units of the e-Access electric scooter in June 2026. This represented an 18% MoM increase over the 518 units dispatched in May.

• The Avenis recorded dispatches of 3,740 units, declining by 27% YoY from 5,111 units. Its month-on-month performance was even weaker, with volumes falling by 38% from 5,992 units in May 2026.

• V-Strom SX emerged as the strongest performer on an annual basis. Dispatches increased by 76% YoY, rising from 309 units in June 2025 to 543 units in June 2026. However, volumes declined by 33% MoM from 805 units in May.

• Gixxer and Gixxer 250 continued to face pressure. Gixxer dispatches declined by 35% YoY and 31% MoM to 726 units, while the Gixxer 250 recorded only 40 units, representing declines of 37% YoY and 44% MoM.

• Suzuki dispatched 23 units of the Hayabusa during June 2026. This was a 15% YoY increase over 20 units and a sharp 92% MoM growth over the 12 units recorded in May.

• V-Strom 800DE registered just six units, down by 77% YoY and 40% MoM.

• No GSX-8R units were dispatched during the month, compared with one unit in May.

Suzuki’s June 2026 dispatches increased 23% year-on-year to 91,264 units, led by the Access and Burgman scooters.

Auto Punditz Insight

Suzuki Motorcycle India’s June 2026 performance reflects strong year-on-year momentum, supported mainly by the Access and Burgman scooters. The growing contribution from the e-Access also provides the company with an entry point into India’s expanding electric scooter market.

However, the 17% sequential decline and weak performance of models such as the Avenis, Gixxer and Gixxer 250 indicate that Suzuki’s sales remain concentrated around a small number of high-volume scooters. Expanding its motorcycle volumes and building scale in electric two-wheelers will be important for sustaining growth over the coming months.
