The Suzuki Access continued to dominate the company’s sales chart with 75,729 units sold in May 2026. The scooter remained almost flat year-on-year compared to 75,778 units in May 2025, reflecting its stable demand base in the Indian scooter market. On a month-on-month basis, Access sales improved 8% from 70,339 units in April 2026, adding over 5,000 units sequentially. With this, the Access alone contributed nearly 69% of Suzuki’s total two-wheeler volumes in May 2026.
The Suzuki Burgman emerged as the second-largest contributor to the brand’s May 2026 sales. The maxi-style scooter recorded 25,835 units, growing 5% year-on-year from 24,688 units in May 2025. More importantly, the Burgman registered a sharp 34% month-on-month growth over 19,337 units in April 2026.
The Suzuki Avenis posted sales of 5,992 units in May 2026, marginally higher than 5,962 units in May 2025, resulting in 1% year-on-year growth. Compared to April 2026, when it sold 5,805 units, the Avenis grew 3% month-on-month.
Suzuki’s electric scooter, the e-Access, recorded 518 units in May 2026. Since the model was not present in May 2025, there is no direct year-on-year comparison. However, on a month-on-month basis, e-Access sales declined 26% from 702 units in April 2026.
The Gixxer sold 1,054 units in May 2026, up 15% year-on-year from 914 units and 8% month-on-month from 977 units.
The Gixxer 250 recorded 72 units, growing 85% year-on-year and 80% month-on-month, albeit on a low base.
The V-Strom SX delivered one of the strongest percentage growth performances, with 805 units sold in May 2026. This was a 112% year-on-year increase over 379 units in May 2025 and a 4% month-on-month improvement over 776 units in April 2026. The adventure-tourer continues to gain traction among buyers looking for an accessible touring motorcycle.
The Hayabusa sold 12 units, declining 40% year-on-year as well as 40% month-on-month.
The DL800DE recorded 10 units, up from 6 units in April 2026, reflecting a 67% MoM growth. The GSX-8R managed just 1 unit in May 2026 compared to 2 units in April 2026.

Suzuki’s May 2026 performance was largely scooter-driven, with the Access and Burgman together contributing over 92% of total volumes. The Access remained the brand’s single biggest volume engine, while the Burgman delivered the strongest absolute sequential gain.
The company’s motorcycle portfolio showed positive momentum in select models such as the Gixxer and V-Strom SX, but its overall contribution remained limited. The electric scooter business, led by the e-Access, is still at a nascent stage and will need higher scale to become a meaningful contributor.
Overall, Suzuki ended May 2026 on a positive note with 2% YoY growth and a healthy 12% MoM recovery, supported by strong scooter demand and improved dispatches for its premium scooter range.
