Tata Altroz helped the Premium Hatchback segment grow by 15% in November 2020

Tata’s Altroz crossed 6k sales mark for the second consecutive month and was Tata’s best seller in November 2020. It also helped the Premium Hatchback segment grow a healthy 15% YoY.

1. Baleno was India’s second best selling car for November 2020 and was the segment leader in premium hatches. The model recorded a flat growth YoY and sold close to 18k units.

2. Toyota Glanza grew 5% YoY and could sell 2,428 units in Nov’20 v/s 2,313 units sold in Nov’19. Baleno+Glanza combined sales crossed 20k mark in Nov’20.

3. It was surprising to see Hyundai i20 register a fall in sales even after the launch of new model. It recorded one of the highest YoY decline (-13%) in Nov’20.

4. The Altroz sales have shot up quite significantly and it recorded its second all time highest volumes in November 2020! The model is marketed rightly as India’s safest hatchback and has gained a lot of traction lately as a capable premium hatch.
