Tata Motors Sales Report – April 2026

Tata Motors recorded total passenger vehicle sales of 59,000 units in April 2026, registering a strong 31% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to 45,199 units sold in April 2025. However, on a month-on-month (MoM) basis, volumes declined 11% from 66,192 units recorded in March 2026.

• Tata Punch remained Tata Motors’ top-selling model with 19,107 units sold in April 2026. The micro SUV posted an impressive 53% YoY growth.

• Tata Nexon recorded 18,126 units in April 2026, growing 17% YoY. On the monthly front, sales dipped 9% compared to March 2026.

• Together, the Punch and Nexon contributed over 63% of Tata Motors’ total passenger vehicle sales during the month.

• The newly launched Tata Sierra, recorded 7,316 units in its initial sales phase.

  Although there is no YoY comparison due to the model being new, Sierra sales were down 19% MoM from March 2026.

• Tata Tiago saw sales decline sharply to 5,488 units, down 34% YoY and 23% MoM.

  Similarly, the Tata Tigor recorded 962 units, falling 26% YoY and 2% MoM.

• Tata Harrier posted one of the strongest performances in Tata’s lineup, recording 2,545 units with an impressive 151% YoY growth.

• The coupe SUV Tata Curvv sold 1,403 units in April 2026, declining sharply by 55% YoY and 12% MoM.

• Tata Altroz recorded 2,586 units, growing 19% YoY and 10% MoM.
