Tata Sierra Dark Launched at Rs 13.99 Lakh; Full Lineup Now Expands to 65 Variants
Tata Motors has expanded the Sierra range with the launch of the new Sierra Dark edition, priced from Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The latest addition brings the familiar all-black treatment to Tata’s revived midsize SUV while taking the overall Sierra portfolio to as many as 65 variants.
The Sierra Dark follows the recent expansion of the range through the Legend Series. With multiple equipment grades, three engine choices and manual, torque-converter automatic and dual-clutch automatic transmissions, Tata is positioning the Sierra across an unusually wide price and specification band.
Tata Sierra Dark: What Is Different?
The Dark edition is primarily a design-led derivative of the standard Sierra. Its exterior receives an all-black finish, darkened trim elements and black alloy wheels, while the cabin adopts a matching dark theme. The blacked-out treatment gives the Sierra’s upright profile and signature rear-quarter glass a more subdued appearance without changing the basic body or mechanical package.
The Sierra Dark is being offered in six configurations. Its Rs 13.99 lakh entry price places it above the regular Sierra’s starting point of Rs 11.49 lakh and the recently introduced Legend Series, which starts at Rs 11.99 lakh. At Rs 13.99 lakh, the Sierra Dark enters the busy midsize-SUV market against higher variants of models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder and other similarly priced SUVs. Its main differentiators remain the Sierra nameplate, distinctive design and the breadth of its engine-and-trim catalogue.
