The Top 25 Selling Cars constituted over 76% of the cars sold in September 2021. It had 7 models from Maruti, 5 from Hyundai, 4 from Tata, 3 from Mahindra, 2 from Kia, and 1 from Toyota, Honda, MG & Renault each. In terms of volumes, Maruti Suzuki models contributed to just over 37 percent volumes in the Top 25!
A major reshuffling has happened in the Top 25 selling cars owing to variance in production across all OEMs due to semiconductor unavailability. Only 5 Maruti models fared in the Top 10 (and only 2 in the Top 5). Also, 2 Tata models shot up in the Top 10 selling cars of September 2021.

Maruti had 7 models in the Top 25. On average; the volumes were 7,649 units per car (do note the avg was 10,417 units/car in Aug'21).
Hyundai had 5 models in the Top 25 and averaged 5,660 units per model.
Tata with 4 models in the list averaged 5,731 units per model (which is higher than Hyundai).
Kia had 2 offerings in the Top 25 and averaged 7,019 per model (which is still higher than Tata).
Even with 3 models in the top 25, Mahindra's overall volumes was lower than that of Kia.

In Sep'21, only 5 out of the Top 10 cars came from Maruti's stable (during the prime months, Maruti had 8-9 models in the Top 10). Maruti's Alto dethroned the siblings Wagon-R, Swift, and Baleno to jump to the Top Slot in model-wise rank for September 2021. Ertiga shot up to second in the list with dispatches of 11,308 units and emerged as the best-selling UV for Sep'21!
Kia Seltos emerged as the third best-selling car and highest-selling SUV for September 2021. Seltos outsold the likes of Creta, Nexon, Brezza, etc to take the Best Selling SUV throne!
Tata Nexon did stellar volumes and ranked 4th on the list. Nexon recorded dispatches of over 9k units and emerged as the best-selling Compact SUV of September 2021. Nexon was able to successfully overtake the likes of Venue and Sonet. Even the EV variant is contributing significantly to overall model volumes!
Hyundai Creta managed to enter the Top 5 selling cars and also became the third best-selling SUV for September 2021. Venue followed close and ranked 7th in the list of Top 10 cars for September 2021.
