Yamaha Sales August 2026: 68,796 Units Sold, Up 14% YoY; Ray Leads
Yamaha recorded 68,796 units in August 2026, registering 14% year-on-year growth over 60,413 units in August 2025. However, sales declined 5% month-on-month from 72,579 units in July 2026.
Ray retained the top position, followed by FZ and Fascino. Fascino nearly doubled its annual volumes, while FZ posted a strong monthly recovery. Lower sales of Ray, R15 and MT 15 weighed on the sequential performance.

Yamaha Ray — 20,700 units: Ray contributed 30.1% of Yamaha’s total sales. Volumes remained almost unchanged from 20,671 units a year earlier but declined 13% MoM from 23,760 units.
Yamaha FZ — 14,214 units: FZ was Yamaha’s highest-selling motorcycle in the supplied data. Sales slipped 1% YoY, but increased 43% MoM from 9,912 units. The addition of 4,302 units over July helped offset declines in other models.
Yamaha Fascino — 9,493 units: Fascino grew 96% YoY from 4,849 units and 16% MoM from 8,185 units. Its annual addition of 4,644 units made it a major contributor to Yamaha’s growth.
Yamaha R15 — 7,691 units: R15 registered 2% YoY growth over 7,529 units. However, sales fell 27% MoMfrom 10,505 units, a reduction of 2,814 units.
Yamaha MT 15 — 7,357 units: MT 15 declined 31% YoY from 10,613 units and 29% MoM from 10,347 units. It recorded the largest absolute annual decline among Yamaha’s listed models.
Yamaha XSR — 5,254 units: XSR increased 4% MoM from 5,032 units, contributing 7.6% of Yamaha’s August total. With zero units recorded in August 2025, its annual percentage change is not applicable.
Yamaha Aerox — 3,611 units: Aerox posted 49% YoY growth over 2,424 units. Monthly sales declined 21%from 4,544 units.
Yamaha EC06 — 475 units: EC06 recorded 62% MoM growth over July’s 294 units. The supplied data shows zero units in August 2025, so a YoY percentage cannot be calculated.

Auto Punditz Take
Ray, FZ and Fascino together contributed 44,407 units, accounting for 64.5% of Yamaha’s August sales. Fascino’s annual growth and FZ’s monthly recovery were the key positives.
XSR and EC06 together contributed 5,729 units against zero year-earlier volumes—equivalent to 68.3% of Yamaha’s net annual increase. Excluding these two models from both periods, the remaining lineup grew 4.4% YoY.
Yamaha’s overall volumes were therefore ahead of last year, although the monthly declines in Ray, R15 and MT 15 indicate an uneven performance across the portfolio.
