Auto Punditz Take
Yamaha’s 44% YoY growth in July 2026 was broad-based rather than being driven by a single model.
The Ray remained the company’s volume anchor, while the R15 and MT-15 continued to demonstrate Yamaha’s strength in sporty motorcycles. At the same time, newer or relatively niche products such as the XSR and Aerox are beginning to contribute meaningful incremental volumes.
The Aerox’s 103% YoY and 212% MoM growth is particularly noteworthy, suggesting that the premium scooter category could become an increasingly important opportunity for Yamaha.
The key weak spot remains the FZ, whose volumes declined 11% YoY despite the overall Yamaha portfolio expanding sharply.
With Ray, R15, MT-15, XSR and Aerox all contributing positively, Yamaha entered the second half of 2026 with significantly stronger product momentum than it had a year ago.
