Zelio E-Mobility targets 150+ new dealerships across South India by FY27
Zelio E-Mobility plans to add more than 150 dealerships across South India by FY27, as it looks to expand its reach in a region where local sales and after-sales support will be important to electric two-wheeler adoption.
The company says the expansion will cover Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It is targeting around 40 new dealers in Tamil Nadu and around 30 each in Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. In Telangana, where Zelio currently has about 15 dealers, it aims to build a network of around 30 over the longer term.
Zelio says its nationwide network currently comprises more than 400 dealerships across over 25 states. The planned expansion is expected to take that total beyond 550 outlets by FY27. The company’s state-level figures are targets, and its announcement does not specify a separate number of new outlets for Telangana beyond its longer-term network goal.

Coimbatore facility to support regional expansion
The dealership plan follows the opening of Zelio’s 39,000-square-foot facility in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The company says the facility will support electric scooter assembly, storage, logistics and related operations, and is intended to serve Tamil Nadu and neighbouring markets.
A wider dealer network can make it easier for customers to access a brand and its products. For EV buyers, however, the usefulness of that expansion will also depend on the availability of service, spare parts and trained technicians at local outlets.
Revenue grew 81.8% in FY2025–26
Zelio reported revenue of ₹313.68 crore in FY2025–26, up 81.8% year on year, according to the company. It also said revenue had grown at a compound annual growth rate of 121% over the past four years and that it has remained profitable since inception.
The company was listed on the BSE SME platform in October 2025, raising ₹78.34 crore. It says it is using its expansion phase to build manufacturing capacity, strengthen its dealer network and grow its workforce.
Managing Director Kunal Arya said the company’s next phase would focus on closer relationships with dealer partners and local customer engagement, alongside product development.
What the expansion could mean for buyers
Zelio’s announcement sets out an ambitious retail expansion target. If achieved, it could give the company a larger presence across southern states and improve customer access to its electric two-wheelers.
The measure of success will be how consistently the new outlets support owners after purchase. In a market where service access and repair turnaround can influence buying decisions, dealership growth will matter most if it brings dependable local support along with wider availability.
AutoPunditz Take
Zelio’s plan points to a clear priority: building a stronger retail and service presence as it grows in South India. The Coimbatore facility could support that effort by bringing assembly, storage and logistics closer to key markets.
The 150+ dealership target is ambitious, and the announcement does not provide a rollout schedule by state. For buyers, the expansion will matter most if new outlets offer reliable servicing, spare-parts access and timely support after purchase. Progress on those fronts will show whether the larger network can translate into a better ownership experience.
