Honda City sales were up by a mammoth 111% YoY in Jan’21 and the model sold 3,667 units last month! It now contributes to 44% of Executive Sedan sales in India.
The New Honda City again took the crown as India’s No.1 Executive Sedan for January 2021 with sales of 3,523 units. Hyundai Verna managed to come 2nd with dispatches of 2,000 units.
The 5th Generation Honda City has been accepted well and the model is leaving no room for competition to rise to the top spot. The model now commands almost 44% Market Share in the segment!
The segment surprisingly has gained traction and it grew 57% YoY. The Top 3 cars in the segment recorded >60% YoY growth and
Verna’s sales more than doubled in January 2021 and grew 109% YoY. It was comfortably ahead of third ranked Nexa Ciaz.
