India's electric passenger vehicle (EV) wholesale market gained strong momentum in June 2026, with total dispatches rising to 33,656 units, up from 26,620 units in May 2026, representing a healthy 26.4% month-on-month (MoM) growth. The month witnessed robust contributions from Tata Motors, Mahindra, MG and Maruti Suzuki, while several newly launched electric models continued to reshape the market landscape.
The latest dispatch figures also underline the growing acceptance of electric cars in India as OEMs expand their product portfolios across multiple price segments. The broader EV market has also been benefiting from improving consumer demand and increasing industry focus on electrification.

Tata Motors remained India's largest electric car manufacturer during June 2026 with 14,657 units, accounting for an impressive 43.5% market share. The company registered a 41.2% sequential growth, driven by strong demand across nearly its entire EV portfolio.
Mahindra dispatched 7,603 electric vehicles, growing 8.1% MoMÂ while maintaining a healthy 22.6% market share.
MG recorded 5,971 dispatches, registering an impressive 33.8% monthly growth.
The biggest contributor remained the MG Windsor, which doubled monthly volumes from 2,032 units to 4,056 units, making it the highest-selling electric car in India during June.
Maruti Suzuki's electric offensive gathered pace with the eVitara posting 2,003 dispatches, a 39.2% increase over May.
VinFast slipped to fifth place with 1,928 units, down 18.3% MoM. While Limo Green remained largely stable, both VF7 and VF6 witnessed noticeable declines during the month.

MG Windsor emerged as June's biggest success story after doubling sales to 4,056 units, comfortably taking the No.1 position among all electric passenger vehicles.

Toyota's Ebella EVÂ jumped from just 45 units to 459 units, representing a 920% increase, albeit from a very small base.
