Outlook
June 2026 was a strong month for India’s electric passenger vehicle market, with registrations more than doubling on a YoY basis. The market is no longer dependent on just one or two players, as new OEMs are beginning to scale up and challenge the early leaders.
With expanding model choices, improving consumer awareness, better charging access and rising participation from mainstream OEMs, electric passenger vehicles are likely to remain one of the fastest-growing sub-segments in India’s automobile market in 2026.
