Hero MotoCorp dispatched 5,02,890 two-wheelers in June 2026, registering a 4% year-on-year (YoY) decline compared to 5,25,136 units in June 2025. On a month-on-month (MoM) basis, dispatches were also down 6% from 5,36,784 units recorded in May 2026.
While Hero's core commuter portfolio remained under pressure due to declining demand for entry-level motorcycles, the company continued to witness encouraging momentum from its premium motorcycles and electric mobility business. The standout performer was VIDA, Hero's electric scooter brand, which posted triple-digit annual growth, while Splendor retained its position as India's highest-selling motorcycle.

Entry-Level Portfolio Faces Pressure
Hero's traditional commuter motorcycles continued to experience weakness.
HF Deluxe fell 56%, making it the biggest drag on volumes.
Passion declined 42%.
Super Splendor slipped 21%.
The decline suggests continued softness in the rural and value-conscious commuter segment, which has historically been Hero MotoCorp's strongest market.
Premium Motorcycles Continue to Improve
The premium portfolio showed encouraging traction.
Glamour grew 63% YoY
XPulse 200Â increased 25%
Harley-Davidson X440Â climbed 69%
Xtreme recorded an impressive 488% increase, albeit on a small base.
These numbers indicate Hero's continued efforts to strengthen its presence beyond entry-level motorcycles.
Scooter Performance
Hero's scooter portfolio delivered mixed results.
Model | June 2026 | YoY |
Destini 125 | 22,010 | +9% |
Pleasure | 7,121 | -32% |
Xoom | 6,741 | +595% |
Xoom 160 | 1,458 | New |
The biggest surprise was the Xoom, whose dispatches increased nearly six-fold compared to last year, reflecting wider acceptance of Hero's sporty scooter lineup.
Meanwhile:
Destini continued stable growth.
Pleasure remained under pressure.
VIDA Electric Scooters Continue Their Growth Story
One of the brightest spots for Hero MotoCorp was its EV business.
Model | June 2026 | YoY |
VIDA | 20,416 | +184% |
VIDA maintained momentum with dispatches exceeding 20,000 units, indicating Hero's strengthening position in India's rapidly expanding electric two-wheeler market.
Unlike many ICE models, VIDA also remained stable sequentially, growing 1% over May 2026.
Harley-Davidson Partnership Gains Momentum
Hero's collaboration with Harley-Davidson continues to gather pace.
The Harley-Davidson X440Â reached 1,197 units, representing 69% YoY growth, suggesting improving acceptance in India's premium motorcycle segment.
Although overall premium volumes remain relatively small, the segment offers stronger profitability and brand visibility.
What Drove June Performance?
Hero MotoCorp's June dispatches reflect two contrasting trends:
Positives
Strong Splendor performance
Rapid VIDA EV expansion
Healthy premium motorcycle growth
Xoom scooter gaining traction
Challenges
Weak entry-level motorcycle demand
Significant decline in HF Deluxe
Soft Passion and Pleasure sales
Overall dispatches declined sequentially

Outlook
Hero MotoCorp enters the second quarter of FY27 with a mixed portfolio performance. While commuter motorcycles continue to face demand pressures, the company is gradually diversifying its growth engines through premium motorcycles, scooters, and electric mobility.
If VIDA sustains its current momentum and premium offerings continue gaining market acceptance, Hero could gradually reduce its dependence on the highly competitive commuter segment. However, restoring growth in entry-level motorcycles—particularly HF Deluxe and Passion—will remain crucial for improving overall dispatch volumes in the coming months.
