Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India recorded total dispatches of 4,76,436 units in July 2026, registering a 2% year-on-year growth over 4,66,331 units sold in July 2025. On a month-on-month basis too, Honda’s dispatches increased by around 2% compared with 4,68,956 units in June 2026.
The overall growth was modest, but Honda’s model-wise performance showed a clear divergence. While the Activa remained the company’s largest-selling model, its volumes declined both YoY and MoM. In contrast, the Shine 125 posted strong double-digit growth and emerged as the biggest growth driver in Honda’s portfolio during the month.

The CB Unicorn 150 dispatched 35,007 units in July 2026, a 7% decline from June's 37,617 units, remaining Honda’s third-largest contributor.
Honda Shine recorded sales of 15,194 units, down 28% YoY from 20,993 units in July 2025. The Honda Dio witnessed a sharper decline, with dispatches at 15,106 units, down 46% YoY and 17% MoM.

Auto Punditz Take
Honda’s July 2026 dispatch data highlights an important shift in its portfolio. The Activa continues to remain the company’s biggest volume generator, but its 13% YoY decline contrasts sharply with the strong 27% growth recorded by the Shine 125.
The Shine 125’s performance is particularly significant, as it now accounts for nearly four out of every ten Honda two-wheelers dispatched. With the gap between Shine 125 and Activa narrowing to less than 30,000 units, Honda’s sales mix is becoming considerably more balanced between scooters and motorcycles.
At the same time, strong growth from the CB350, H’ness and SP160 indicates improving momentum in Honda’s higher-capacity motorcycle range.
However, the electric portfolio remains at a very early stage in terms of volumes.
Honda’s near-term performance will therefore continue to depend heavily on the Activa, Shine 125 and Unicorn family while the company works to expand its presence across premium motorcycles and electric scooters.
