Honda Cars India Sales Report – April 2026

Honda Cars India reported total domestic sales of 4,069 units in April 2026, registering a 21% year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to 3,360 units sold in April 2025. However, on a month-on-month (MoM) basis, sales witnessed a sharp 46% decline from 7,585 units recorded in March 2026.

• The Honda Amaze remained Honda’s best-selling model with 2,856 units sold in April 2026. The compact sedan posted a strong 41% YoY growth, highlighting continued demand in the affordable sedan segment despite the broader SUV shift in the Indian market.

• The Amaze contributed over 70% of Honda Cars India’s total monthly sales, underlining its importance to the company’s India strategy.

• Honda Elevate recorded sales of 1,036 units in April 2026, registering an 11% YoY increase over April 2025. However, the SUV saw a sharp 58% MoM decline from March 2026 dispatches.

• The iconic Honda City recorded only 177 units in April 2026, declining sharply by 56% YoY and 78% MoM. The decline reflects the broader contraction of the premium sedan segment in India, where consumer preference has increasingly shifted toward SUVs across price points.
