Incheon Kia, authorized Kia dealer in Kerala has achieved a major electric vehicle delivery milestone in Kerala by handing over 150 Kia Syros EVs at a single venue on Chingam 1, the first day of the Malayalam New Year.
The mass delivery earned Incheon Motors Private Limited recognition from the India Book of Records for the “Maximum Single-Model Electric Car Sold by a Dealer in a Day”.

The event was attended by Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director & CEO, Kia India, along with Atul Sood, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Kia India; M.A.M Babu Moopan, Chairman, Incheon Kia; and Naeem Shahul, Managing Director, Incheon Kia. The 150 Syros EVs were flagged off in a convoy as part of the Chingam 1 celebrations.
Kia Syros EV Bookings Cross 650 Units
The delivery milestone comes amid strong initial demand for the Syros EV in Kerala.
According to Incheon Kia, bookings for the Syros EV have crossed 650 units and continue to grow. The 150 vehicles delivered during the event represented the first major batch handed over to early customers. Delivering such a large number of units of a single electric model on one day also offers an early indication of the response the Syros EV is receiving in the state.

Incheon Kia Strengthens EV Infrastructure
The dealership is complementing its EV sales push with investments in charging and renewable-energy infrastructure. Incheon Kia has commissioned a 240 kW DC ultra-fast charger at its flagship Nettoor facility. The company says a compatible premium electric vehicle can be charged to 80% in under 20 minutes using the facility.
The dealership has also announced a ₹10 crore clean-energy investment, under which its rooftop solar capacity will rise from 250 kW to 2 MW by the end of 2026.
Once completed, the solar installations are expected to generate around 24 lakh units of clean electricity annually while reducing nearly 1,900 tonnes of CO₂ emissions every year. The dealership eventually aims to operate its entire network using green energy.

Kerala Showing Strong Acceptance of Electric Mobility
Speaking at the event, Kia India MD & CEO Gwanggu Lee said sustainability remains one of Kia’s key priorities and highlighted the response received by Kia’s electric vehicles in Kerala.
He said the company would continue working towards providing sustainable mobility experiences to customers in the state. Incheon Kia Chairman M.A.M Babu Moopan also highlighted Kerala’s acceptance of electric mobility, stating that the dealership sees the Syros EV as part of this transition towards cleaner transportation.

Auto Punditz Take
The 150-unit Kia Syros EV delivery is notable because it concentrates a sizeable number of electric vehicle handovers around a single model and a single event.
More importantly, Incheon Kia’s disclosure of 650+ Syros EV bookings suggests that the delivery event was backed by a larger order pipeline rather than being an isolated fleet-style handover.
The combination of growing EV bookings, a 240 kW fast charger and planned investment in renewable energy also shows how dealers are increasingly becoming an important part of the EV ecosystem.
For Kia, the milestone provides another indication that Kerala could become an important market for its expanding electric vehicle portfolio, particularly as charging infrastructure and dealer-level EV support continue to improve.
