Maruti Suzuki’s ₹35,000 Crore Kharkhoda Mega Plant to be Inaugurated Today by PM Modi and Japan PM Sanae Takaichi

Maruti Suzuki India is set to achieve a historic milestone today as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi jointly inaugurate the company’s fourth vehicle manufacturing facility at IMT Kharkhoda, Haryana. Maruti Suzuki has developed the Kharkhoda facility around its “Suzuki Smart Factory” concept, incorporating next-generation manufacturing technologies.

Sustainability at the Core

The new manufacturing complex has also been designed with a strong focus on environmental sustainability.

• 100% renewable electricity for operations

• Zero Liquid Discharge manufacturing process

• 100% water recycling

• Biogas plant planned for commissioning during FY2026-27

• In-house solar power plant scalable up to 70 MW

• Dedicated in-plant railway siding to support greener logistics and reduce transportation emissions
