Updated: Feb 21, 2021

Maruti Suzuki dispatched 1,39,002 units to its dealers in January 2021. It was a -0.6% degrowth over January 2020 and -1.2% degrowth over December 2020!

  1. Alto retained its Top spot from the sibling Swift. However; Alto degrew -3% YoY!

  2. Swift was both Maruti and India’s second best-selling car.

  3. Wagon-R saw a 13% YoY increase and ranked third. The Post-Covid era has been highly encouraging for hatchbacks and is clearly visible in the sales volumes.

  4. Baleno registered degrowth of -19% YoY & slipped to the fourth spot in the table.

  5. Dzire recorded the highest YoY decline and the discontinuation of diesel is surely one of the reasons for it.

  6. 11,680 units of Eeco sold in Jan’21! Only Maruti can do it.
