Maruti Suzuki Sales June 2026: Dispatches Rise 24% YoY Despite Scheduled Production Shutdown

Maruti Suzuki dispatched 1,47,187 units in June 2026, registering a strong 24% year-on-year growth compared to 1,18,906 units in June 2025. However, on a month-on-month basis, the company saw a sharp 23% decline over May 2026, when dispatches stood at 1,90,337 units.

The MoM decline needs to be viewed in the context of Maruti Suzuki’s scheduled one-week block shutdown across its production facilities in June 2026. The shutdown was undertaken as part of the company’s routine bi-annual maintenance and inventory re-alignment exercise. This affected dispatch momentum during the month and also had an impact on the immediate availability and waiting periods of some popular models.

Despite this temporary production pause, Maruti Suzuki posted healthy YoY growth, supported by strong performances from the Dzire, Wagon R, Ertiga, Swift, Fronx, Baleno, Alto, Grand Vitara, XL6 and Invicto.

Maruti Suzuki June 2026 sales infographic showing 1,47,187 units dispatched, 24% YoY growth and top models Dzire, Wagon R, Ertiga and Swift
Maruti Suzuki dispatched 1,47,187 units in June 2026, growing 24% YoY despite a scheduled production shutdown. Dzire, Wagon R, Ertiga and Swift led the volume chart.

Key Takeaways

Maruti Suzuki’s June 2026 performance was marked by two contrasting trends. On one hand, the company achieved a strong 24% YoY growth, supported by higher dispatches of several high-volume models. On the other hand, dispatches declined 23% MoM, largely reflecting the impact of the scheduled one-week production shutdown and inventory re-alignment.

The Dzire, Wagon R, Ertiga and Swift remained the company’s biggest volume drivers. The Fronx, Baleno, Alto and Grand Vitara delivered strong YoY growth, while the Victoris added meaningful incremental volume to the portfolio.

However, models such as Brezza, Celerio, S-Presso and Jimny witnessed a YoY decline. The immediate availability and waiting periods of some popular models were also affected due to the maintenance break across production facilities.
