Piaggio Sales September 2026: Volumes Rise 48% to 4,140 Units, Aprilia Scooters Gain Momentum

2 min read

Piaggio’s combined sales across the models listed in the supplied dataset reached 4,140 units in September 2026, up 48% year-on-year from 2,802 units in September 2025. Volumes also increased 4% month-on-month from 3,973 units in August 2026.

Vespa remained the largest contributor to overall volumes and annual growth. However, September’s monthly improvement came primarily from Aprilia’s scooter entries, with the SR150 and SR125 together more than offsetting Vespa’s decline.

Auto Punditz Take

Piaggio’s September performance had two distinct drivers: Vespa powered annual growth, while Aprilia scooters supported the monthly increase.

The SR150 and SR125 together added 393 units over August, comfortably absorbing Vespa’s 256-unit decline. This gave Piaggio a broader volume contribution from its scooter portfolio, even as Vespa continued to account for nearly two-thirds of total sales.

The performance motorcycle picture was less consistent, with RS and Tuono combined remaining below their year-earlier volumes. Sustaining the Aprilia scooter gains alongside Vespa’s annual growth will be the key trend to track in the coming months.
