River Indie Sales May 2026: Dispatches Surge 234% YoY, Up 38% MoM

The Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer also saw healthy sequential momentum, as May 2026 volumes rose 38% month-on-month from 2,878 units in April 2026.

• River Mobility posted a strong performance in May 2026, with its sole electric scooter, the River Indie, recording dispatches of 3,977 units. This marked a sharp 234% year-on-year growth compared to 1,189 units sold in May 2025. On a month-on-month basis, River’s dispatches improved by 1,099 units, growing from 2,878 units in April 2026 to 3,977 units in May 2026.

River’s sales in May 2026 show that the Indie is gaining traction in the Indian EV scooter space. While the brand remains much smaller than mass-market EV scooter makers, its triple-digit annual growth and strong month-on-month improvement indicate improving demand and better market reach.

Going ahead, River’s ability to sustain this momentum will depend on production ramp-up, network expansion, customer acceptance, and how effectively the Indie can position itself against mainstream electric scooters.

For May 2026, however, River delivered one of its strongest monthly performances, with the Indie emerging as a fast-growing niche EV scooter in the Indian two-wheeler market.
