Skoda has officially revealed the all-new Peaq, its largest and most advanced electric SUV yet. Positioned as the brand’s global flagship EV, the three-row SUV combines long-distance range, family-focused practicality and premium technology, placing it against large electric SUVs such as the Kia EV9, Hyundai Ioniq 9 and Volvo EX90.
The Peaq measures over 4.8 metres in length and is based on Volkswagen Group’s dedicated MEB electric architecture. It also represents the production evolution of Skoda’s Vision 7S concept, bringing the Czech brand’s latest “Modern Solid” design language to its biggest electric model.

Skoda’s Largest Electric SUV Yet
The Peaq will be offered in both five-seat and seven-seat configurations, making it the most spacious EV in Skoda’s global line-up. The seven-seat version is aimed at family buyers looking for a premium electric SUV with genuine third-row usability.
Skoda has focused heavily on cabin flexibility and luggage space. The long wheelbase gives the Peaq a practical interior layout, while the three-row version still offers usable cargo capacity, making it more than just a style-led flagship.
Two Battery Packs, Three Powertrain Options
Skoda will offer the Peaq with two battery pack choices: 63 kWh and 91 kWh. The entry-level Peaq 60 uses the smaller battery and comes with a rear-wheel-drive layout. It produces 204 hp from a single rear-mounted electric motor.
The Peaq 90 gets the larger 91 kWh battery and also uses a rear-wheel-drive setup. This variant produces 286 hp and is expected to be the long-range option for buyers prioritising efficiency and highway usability.
At the top of the range sits the Peaq 90x, which adds a second electric motor for all-wheel drive. This flagship variant produces 299 hp, making it the most powerful version in the Peaq line-up.
Up To 647 KM WLTP Range
The biggest highlight of the Skoda Peaq is its claimed driving range. The top-spec version is rated for up to 647 km on the WLTP cycle, putting it among the longest-range large electric SUVs globally.
This range figure is particularly important because large three-row electric SUVs need to balance battery capacity, weight, passenger comfort and real-world highway usability. With the Peaq, Skoda appears to be targeting families who want an EV that can handle both city commutes and long-distance road trips.
Fast Charging In Under 30 Minutes
The larger battery versions of the Peaq support high-speed DC fast charging. Skoda claims the battery can be charged from 10 percent to 80 percent in around 28 minutes under ideal conditions.
This fast-charging capability will be critical for the Peaq’s positioning as a long-distance family SUV. It also helps address one of the biggest concerns around large electric vehicles: charging time during intercity travel.
Premium Cabin And Advanced Features
Inside, the Skoda Peaq follows the brand’s latest minimalist cabin design approach. The dashboard layout is clean and modern, dominated by a large 13.6-inch infotainment touchscreen.
The SUV is also expected to offer digital instrumentation, augmented-reality head-up display, advanced driver assistance systems, connected car technology and multiple comfort-focused features.
Higher variants may include ventilated and massage seats, premium audio, panoramic glass roof options and bidirectional charging capability. These features are aimed at strengthening the Peaq’s position as a global flagship rather than just a larger version of Skoda’s existing EVs.
India Launch: Under Evaluation
Skoda has not officially confirmed the Peaq for India yet. However, the model is reportedly being evaluated for select international markets outside Europe, including India.
If launched here, the Peaq would sit in the premium electric SUV space and could serve as a brand-building product for Skoda India. The Indian premium EV segment is still small but gradually expanding, with luxury brands, Korean manufacturers and Chinese-origin EV players increasing activity.
However, pricing will be the biggest challenge. As a large imported electric SUV, the Peaq would likely command a premium unless Skoda finds a localisation or favourable import route.
The Skoda Peaq marks a major step in the brand’s electric transformation. With up to 647 km of claimed range, seven-seat practicality, fast charging and a 299 hp AWD variant, it gives Skoda a credible flagship EV to compete in the global premium electric SUV space.
More importantly, the Peaq shows that Skoda wants to move beyond value-focused European family cars and establish itself as a serious player in the high-end EV segment.
For India, the Peaq may not be a volume product, but it could become an important halo model if Skoda decides to bring it here. With premium EV acceptance slowly improving, a spacious three-row electric SUV with Skoda’s practical DNA could find a niche among luxury family SUV buyers.
