Hero Splendor remained India’s highest-selling motorcycle in July 2026 with dispatches of 3,35,246 units. Compared with 2,46,715 units in July 2025, Splendor volumes increased by an impressive 36% YoY, adding more than 88,000 units to its year-ago tally.
The numbers once again highlight the sheer scale of Splendor’s presence in India’s commuter motorcycle market. In fact, the Splendor alone accounted for nearly 39% of the combined volumes of the Top 10 motorcycles during the month.
Honda Shine retained second position with 1,91,950 units in July 2026, compared with 1,59,658 units a year earlier. That represents a strong 20% YoY increase.
While the gap with the Splendor remains substantial, Shine continues to maintain a commanding presence in the commuter motorcycle space and was comfortably ahead of the third-ranked Pulsar family.
Bajaj Pulsar ranked third with 66,156 units, although volumes declined from 79,817 units in July 2025. This represents a 17% YoY contraction. Despite the decline, the Pulsar brand maintained its position among India’s three largest-selling motorcycle nameplates during July.
One of the standout performers of the month was the TVS Apache, which recorded 59,404 units. Against 37,566 units in July 2025, Apache volumes surged by 58% YoY, making it one of the fastest-growing motorcycles in the Top 10.
Hero MotoCorp’s second entrant in the Top 10, the HF Deluxe, registered 55,978 units. However, volumes were down from 71,477 units in July 2025, resulting in a 22% YoY decline.
Royal Enfield Classic 350 continued its strong run with 39,197 units during July 2026. The motorcycle had recorded 26,516 units in July last year, translating into a robust 48% YoY increase. Classic 350 remained Royal Enfield’s highest-selling model in the Top 10 and comfortably led the manufacturer’s three entries in the rankings.
Honda’s CB Unicorn 150 occupied seventh position with 35,007 units during July 2026.
TVS Raider continued to perform strongly with 34,125 units, against 24,511 units in July 2025. This represents a healthy 39% YoY growth. Together, Apache and Raider gave TVS two positions in the Top 10 and combined volumes of more than 93,000 units.
Bullet 350 emerged as the fastest-growing motorcycle among models with a comparable July 2025 base. Sales increased from 15,847 units to 26,245 units, representing an impressive 66% YoY growth.
Completing the Top 10 was the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, with 22,031 units.
Volumes increased from 18,373 units in July 2025, resulting in 20% YoY growth.

AutoPunditz Take
July 2026’s motorcycle rankings show that the Indian two-wheeler market continues to be driven by two very different demand pools.
At one end, mass-market commuters remain dominant, demonstrated by the extraordinary volumes of the Splendor and Shine. Together, these two motorcycles alone contributed more than 5.27 lakh units during the month.
At the other end, the sustained growth of Classic 350, Bullet 350 and Hunter 350 indicates continued consumer demand for higher-capacity lifestyle motorcycles. Royal Enfield having three models in the Top 10 is especially noteworthy because of the comparatively higher price positioning of its motorcycles.
TVS also had a strong month. Apache’s 58% growth and Raider’s 39% increase indicate healthy momentum across both sporty commuter and performance-oriented categories.
The weak year-on-year numbers for Pulsar and HF Deluxe, however, contrast sharply with the wider Top 10 market’s 27% expansion and will be worth tracking over the next few months.
Overall, July 2026 was a strong month for India’s leading motorcycle nameplates, with growth spread across both commuter and premium categories, even as performance varied considerably between individual models.
