Hero MotoCorp Sales May 2026: Splendor Powers Growth, Vida EV Scooter Crosses 20,000 Units

Hero MotoCorp registered 5,36,784 units in May 2026, growing 10% year-on-year compared to 4,88,997 units sold in May 2025. On a month-on-month basis, the company remained broadly stable with a 1% increase over April 2026’s 5,32,433 units.
The May 2026 performance was largely driven by the continued dominance of the Splendor, strong growth in the Vida electric scooter, and healthy traction for the Destini 125 and Xoom scooter range. However, Hero’s commuter motorcycle portfolio showed a mixed trend, with HF Deluxe and Super Splendor witnessing sharp declines.

Hero Splendor once again remained the company’s undisputed volume driver. The motorcycle clocked 3,33,727 units in May 2026, up from 2,91,708 units in May 2025, registering a strong 14% YoY growth. On a month-on-month basis too, Splendor improved by 15%, rising from 2,91,146 units in April 2026. The model alone accounted for over 62% of Hero MotoCorp’s total domestic dispatches in May 2026.
While Splendor grew strongly, HF Deluxe witnessed a steep decline. Sales stood at 66,722 units in May 2026, compared to 1,07,768 units in May 2025, marking a 38% YoY fall.
Hero’s EV arm, Vida, delivered one of the strongest performances in the portfolio. Vida sales stood at 20,130 units in May 2026, compared to 8,361 units in May 2025 — a sharp 141% YoY increase.
Hero’s scooter portfolio had a strong month, led by Destini 125, Xoom, and Vida.
The Destini 125 sold 26,482 units in May 2026, growing 76% YoY from 15,018 units in May 2025. It also posted a modest 2% MoM growth over April 2026.
Xoom recorded 7,459 units, up from just 1,029 units last year, translating into a massive 625% YoY growth. Compared to April 2026, Xoom grew 4%.
Pleasure scooter declined 9% YoY and 17% MoM, with sales falling to 7,395 units.
Xoom 160 recorded 841 units in May 2026, down 32% MoM from 1,242 units in April 2026.
Glamour posted 23,103 units in May 2026, compared to just 911 units in May 2025. This resulted in an unusually high 2,436% YoY growth, largely due to the very low base of last year.
Xtreme 125R, one of Hero’s important sporty commuter offerings, recorded 15,038 units in May 2026. This was down 9% YoY from 16,602 units in May 2025.
HD X440 recorded 1,078 units, growing 126% YoY from 478 units last year. However, it declined 28% MoM from 1,505 units in April 2026.
XPulse 200Â sold 2,579 units, growing 7% YoYÂ and 16% MoM, showing steady demand in the adventure motorcycle space.
Karizma saw only 1 unit dispatched in May 2026, compared to 72 units in May 2025. The Xtreme 250 recorded 389 units, down 18% YoY, though it improved sharply from just 8 units in April 2026.
Conclusion
Hero MotoCorp’s May 2026 performance was healthy at the headline level, with total dispatches growing 10% YoY to 5.37 lakh units. The month once again highlighted the extraordinary importance of the Splendor, which continues to carry Hero’s motorcycle business.
At the same time, the growth of Vida, Destini 125, and Xoom shows that Hero is gradually building stronger traction outside its traditional commuter motorcycle stronghold. However, the decline in HF Deluxe, Super Splendor, Passion, and Xtreme 125R points to mixed momentum across the broader motorcycle portfolio.
For Hero MotoCorp, May 2026 was a story of strong overall growth, powered by Splendor’s dominance and the rising contribution of scooters — especially the Vida EV.
