Scooters segment had seen a major impact with the lockdown and sales were severely affected when compared to Motorcycles. However; the segment is in a recovery mode and the models are slowly registering growth in the past few months and will continue to catch momentum in months to come.
Honda's Activa remained No.1 Selling Scooter for May 2021 and contributed to 35.92% volumes in the Top 10! The Top 10 Scooters collectively sold 47,345 units in May'21 and recorded a de-growth of 17,482 units.
Honda Activa registered a decline of 10,874 LY MoM and sold >17,006 units in May'21.
Suzuki Access sales grew by 6,151 units LY MoM and climbed up to the second place.
TVS Jupiter sold 6,153 units with degrowth of 2,457 units.
Ntroq climbed up the ladder to the 4th spot with 4,337 units.
Burgman registered 1,876 units growth at 2,745 .
Dio registered a steep fall of 5,363 units and registered a volume of 1,697 units.
Pep+ and Ray managed to cross the 1000 mark followed by Fascino which touched 824 units.
