Yamaha Sales June 2026: Dispatches Rise 50% YoY to 66,573 Units, Ray and R15 Lead Growth

Yamaha Motor India recorded total domestic dispatches of 66,573 units in June 2026, registering a strong 50% year-on-year growth compared with 44,417 units dispatched in June 2025.
However, Yamaha’s volumes declined by 9% month-on-month, from 72,821 units in May 2026. The annual growth was led by the Ray scooter, R15, MT-15 and Fascino, while the newly introduced XSR and EC06 also contributed incremental volumes.

Yamaha Ray was the company’s highest-selling model in June 2026, with dispatches of 22,782 units. Sales increased by 60% over the 14,274 units recorded in June 2025 and by 6% compared with May 2026.The Ray alone accounted for over 34% of Yamaha’s total monthly dispatches, highlighting the importance of scooters within the company’s Indian portfolio.
The Fascino also delivered a strong performance, with dispatches growing by 44% year-on-year to 8,790 units. It registered a moderate 4% improvement over the previous month.
The Yamaha R15 emerged as the fastest-growing established model in the portfolio. Dispatches increased by 111% year-on-year, from 4,380 units in June 2025 to 9,261 units in June 2026. Despite its strong annual performance, R15 volumes declined by 6% compared with the 9,803 units dispatched in May 2026.
The Yamaha MT-15 recorded dispatches of 10,094 units, making it Yamaha’s second-highest-selling motorcycle after accounting for the wider two-wheeler portfolio. Volumes grew by 42% from 7,123 units in June 2025 and by 5% compared with May 2026.
The Yamaha FZ range recorded dispatches of 9,824 units, down 9% from 10,767 units in June 2025. The decline was considerably sharper on a monthly basis, with volumes falling by 34% from 14,862 units in May 2026.
Yamaha XSR recorded dispatches of 4,199 units in June 2026.
XSR dispatches declined by 36% from 6,587 units in May 2026.
Yamaha Aerox recorded dispatches of 1,455 units, representing a decline of 17% compared with 1,743 units in June 2025. Month-on-month volumes dropped by 30%, from 2,091 units in May 2026.
Yamaha dispatched 168 units of the EC06 electric scooter during June 2026, twice the 84 units recorded in May.
Auto Punditz Analysis
Yamaha’s June 2026 performance was characterised by strong annual growth but weaker sequential momentum. The company benefited from healthy demand for the Ray, R15, MT-15 and Fascino, along with incremental volumes from the XSR and EC06.
However, the 9% monthly decline was primarily caused by lower dispatches of the FZ, XSR and Aerox. Sustaining the momentum of the Ray and MT-15 while improving volumes across the FZ and premium scooter range will be important for Yamaha in the coming months.
Overall, Yamaha’s 50% year-on-year growth indicates a significant expansion in the company’s domestic dispatch base, with its scooter and motorcycle businesses contributing almost equally to the June 2026 total.
