India's automobile retail market recorded its best-ever July in 2026, with registrations rising 25.89% YoY to 25.91 lakh units. Passenger vehicle sales crossed 4 lakh for the first time in July, while two-wheelers surged 28.25% and total EV registrations reached a record 3.28 lakh units.

India's three-wheeler market registered a healthy 16.2% year-on-year growth in June 2026, reaching 1,20,889 retail registrations. Bajaj Auto retained its leadership position, while Mahindra and TVS Motor posted the strongest gains in market share and sales.

India's two-wheeler market recorded a strong 21.22% year-on-year growth in June 2026, with 18,28,458 retail registrations, according to FADA data. Hero MotoCorp retained its leadership position ahead of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, while TVS Motor continued to strengthen its market share. The month also saw robust growth from Royal Enfield, Yamaha and Ather Energy, highlighting sustained demand across both ICE and electric two-wheelers.
