JSW MG Motor India has launched the MG Majestor in India at a starting price of ₹40.99 lakh ex-showroom. The new SUV becomes MG’s flagship ICE offering and is positioned above the Gloster, not as a direct discontinuation replacement.
The Majestor is aimed at buyers looking for a large, premium, diesel-powered 3-row SUV with strong road presence, luxury features and serious off-road hardware.

MG Majestor Price: JSW MG Motor India has launched the Majestor in two fully-loaded variants, catering to both urban premium SUV buyers and hardcore off-road enthusiasts.
Variant | Drivetrain | Price |
Majestor 4x2 AT | RWD | ₹40.99 lakh |
Majestor 4x4 AT | 4WD | ₹44.99 lakh |
MG has also confirmed that the Majestor will be available in both 6-seat captain-chair and 7-seat family-oriented configurations. Interested buyers can book the SUV with an initial token amount of ₹41,000.
Size & Road Presence
The Majestor is one of the largest SUVs in its class. MG claims it is the longest, widest and tallest vehicle in its segment. It measures 5,046 mm long, 2,016 mm wide, 1,870 mm tall, with a 2,950 mm wheelbase. Ground clearance stands at 219 mm.
Engine & Performance
The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing 215.5 PS and 478.5 Nm, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. There is no petrol or hybrid option.
Off-Road Hardware
The 4WD version gets serious off-road kit, including Advanced Select 4x4, 10 terrain modes, triple differential lock and mCrawl technology. This gives the Majestor a clear rugged-SUV positioning against premium rivals.
Features
MG has loaded the Majestor with a premium cabin, dual digital screens, panoramic “Galaxy View” roof, ventilated and massage front seats, connected car tech, 6 airbags, Level 2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, hill-hold, hill-descent control and TPMS.
Competition Check
The MG Majestor enters India’s premium full-size SUV segment, taking on established rivals like the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq. While the Fortuner continues to dominate the segment with its strong brand value and reliability image, the Majestor aims to stand out with a larger footprint, richer feature list and advanced off-road hardware.
SUV | Starting Price |
MG Majestor | ₹40.99 lakh |
Toyota Fortuner | ₹34.76 lakh |
Toyota Fortuner Legender | ₹42.92 lakh |
Jeep Meridian | ₹23.33 lakh |
Skoda Kodiaq | ₹36.99 lakh |
The MG Majestor is MG’s attempt to create a more premium, more imposing D+ SUV offering with stronger off-road credentials and richer comfort features. On paper, the Majestor offers more features, more size and more tech for the price. But in this segment, badge value and long-term trust matter as much as equipment. The Majestor is MG’s strongest shot yet at the premium ladder-frame SUV space AND gives buyers a far more feature-rich alternative.
