Bajaj’s total domestic dispatches stood at 2.10 lakh units in May 2026. The overall growth was led primarily by the electric scooter portfolio and select performance motorcycles.

  • Chetak’s 50% YoY growth underlines Bajaj’s strong positioning in the electric two-wheeler market. With 38,376 units, it emerged as Bajaj’s second-largest contributor after Pulsar 125.The model also grew 12% over April 2026, showing that demand remained healthy despite rising competition from TVS iQube, Ather Rizta, Ola, and other EV players.

  • Bajaj also reported 850 units of the Yulu Ver 3.0x, up sharply from 250 units last year. While volumes remain small, the model registered a 240% YoY growth and 70% MoM growth, indicating increased traction in the shared mobility and fleet-oriented EV space.

Bajaj Auto posted 2,09,528 units in May 2026, growing 9% YoY, led by Chetak Electric and higher-capacity Pulsar models.

Conclusion

Bajaj Auto’s May 2026 performance was steady, with 9% YoY growth and flat MoM movement. The biggest positive was the continued rise of Chetak Electric, which has now become one of Bajaj’s most important volume pillars.

The Pulsar 160/200 NS, Pulsar 220, KTM Duke 200/250, and Triumph 350 added strength to the premium motorcycle side of the portfolio. However, weakness in Pulsar 125, CT 100, Freedom, and some 390/400 cc models restricted overall growth.

Overall, Bajaj’s May 2026 sales indicate a clear shift: the brand’s growth is increasingly being powered by EVs and premium motorcycles, while the entry-level commuter segment remains under pressure.
